Find your fit amongst our exciting projects!
We are the rover team! Our mission is to build robots for the annual University Rover Challenge (URC). From dexterously repairing equipment, to traversing extreme terrain, to autonomously searching the open desert for wooden posts, our rovers have to be complex feats of electrical engineering, computer science, and mechanical engineering. Every year we embark on the journey to build a new rover from scratch to both innovate and educate.
We build open-source legged robots that push the boundary of where robots can go. Our first robot, Stanford Doggo, received worldwide recognition in 2018 after setting a new bar for robot agility at an affordable price. Our current projects include Woofer, a larger quadruped robot designed to enrich robotics research, and Pupper, a smaller quadruped designed to engage the open source community.
3 teams for which we will define the goal of the projects soon. These teams will offer more mentorship through big weekly meetings in between all explore teams. Talk to the team leads or the co-presidents if you have an idea that you would like to see become an explore team.
